#1a Here you will find a list of sites and pages, of which we do not necessarily approve of every element of content (we will post content warnings if the matter is sufficiently severe), but of which we consider some or all content important, either directly or for content they link.

#1b The numbers at the left of every line are statement numbers. Their structure is inspired by Hyperscope, but this isn’t a Hyperscope document and there isn’t the ability to view the document in outline view. The idea is that you should be able to link to every paragraph in this document, as though it were generated from a Hyperscope document. (We plan on creating an outliner some day, just you wait. You’ll see it in /software/ when we succeed - and we will succeed.)

2a: an essay by Ben Hoyt, and related resources

#2a1 We recently came across an essay on the Small Web by Ben Hoyt. We encountered this essay on the Cheapskate’s Guide resources page, which we came across on the Dillo directory. It includes some interesting advice to web developers.

2b: webrings

#2b1 Here I link webrings I’ve found, regardless of my actual interest level in them, and regardless of whether they consider Umbrellix a part of them.

#2b1a ring.acab.dev presents a ring of hackers and hacker-community members with websites accessible to users of web browsers without JavaScript. Membership is not open to Anubis users because Anubis does not permit links2 nor Dillo.

#2b1b Obnoxious punycode domain name (xn–sr8hvo.ws) presents a wide-ranging directory of “indieweb” websites.

#2b1c webring.xxiivv.com “is an attempt to inspire artists & developers to build their websites and share traffic amongst each other. The ring welcomes hand-crafted wikis and portfolios.”.
