Question Answering Etiquette

When answering written questions from your viewers, note where the question came from (whether it's your live chat, the Nutrition 24/7 live chat, or an IRC channel, or a discord guild). Make sure you acknowledge, if it was a superchat on your stream or some other donor message, that it was so.

Once the slides system has been set up complete with a custom text system, strongly consider asking Ellenor for a slides account so you can upload slides (which must be in a 1.33 ratio and over 720 pixels in height, since they will be stitched with a laterally truncated version of the default slide) and put text on the screen. Answering questions submitted through the phones is simple, just answer it like you're on a normal phone conversation.

Even before the custom text system has been set up, once we have a slides system, putting a slide up (which should have, in 20pt or better font, your name and a link to your website or email address, in the top left corner) is designed to be used mainly in interview segments, or any other time you need to explain something. Slides will time out after 15 minutes. Say Dave Feldman or Ivor Cummins wanted to come on the show, and they wanted to splash up a graph explaining how it seems like LDL makes you live longer, or how GGT is connected with diabetes. They would have to go on the IRC server where the slides system is available, and request the bot to put up their slide.

Apparent segments

nothing here is official. email ellenor@umbrellix.net if you are planning to regularly attend the stream. we will only be maintaining one schedule for the whole world, so it's important that your schedule changes with DST (if you normally attend at 1800h British time, change to 1700 during the summer so that the UTC time is the same), or that you notify that you will be an hour late during summer (extra time will be allotted as “<your channel/site> winter start time”).
